CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SCHOOL & JUNIOR COLLEGE BUILDING IN OUR EDUCATION CAMPUS AT MIRA ROAD.

The Proposed New Junior College Building.

The present school building comprises of:

  1. Ground Floor having “Nursery and Paly Group Classes” and Primary School Classes
  2. 1st Floor having 3 divisions each of class 10 & class 9 and the Principal’s office and Staff Room (Ladies)
  3. 2nd Floor having 4 divisions of Class 8, Staff Room (Gents) and Computer class with 60 Computers.
  4. 3rd Floor having Library and Laboratory cum Assembly Hall.

It is a 40 years old structure, which was repaired in the year 2001.

The flooded ground floor Classes in Mira Road

As per the Structural Audit conducted by M/s Maharaja Architects Pvt. Ltd. dated 21/07/2019 a second repair is underway now but every monsoon we face the recurring problem of the ground floor classes getting flooded with waist-deep rainwater forcing the management to close the entire ground floor for 4 months.

The reason for this flooding in every monsoon is the fact that all around the school campus construction of new buildings rendered a “lower plinth level” of 5 acres of land resulting in accumulation of water of the entire area in the school ground making it appear like a “Lake” for 4 months of the rainy season.

Hence recurring repairs of the old school building should not be undertaken as per the advice of Engineers and Architects who want us to initiate “Construction of a New Building” which will have a Junior College for Arts, Science and Commerce. This new project needs a fund of Rs. 20 Crores.

M/s Momin submitted the plan for the New School and Junior College Building but its approval is subject to NOC from “Estate Investment Company” (to be obtained after payment)
